The Terrace Rod & Gun Club held its 9th Annual Vintage Military Rifle Competition on Saturday, August 1st. The weather was perfect for the match with temperatures reaching 30°C. There were six competitors in this year’s event, with some coming from as far as Prince George to take part. The competition consisted of five matches, ranging from deliberate shots from the prone position to standing snap-shots at a disappearing target.

On Sunday, August 2nd, the Terrace Rod & Gun Club held its second annual Vintage Military Handgun Competition. The weather cooperated once again with the biggest issue being how to stay hydrated. Eleven competitors took part in the event, with this being the first taste of action pistol shooting for many. Five stages were shot over the course of the day, and in the end winners were determined in the Self-loading Pistol Class and the Revolver class.

Kudos go out to match director Richard Kean as well as his support team for running two excellent shoots!
